Adopt Don't Shop

Facts about puppy mills:

- There are thousands of enslaved dogs in the commercial dog breeding business.  They often times live and die in a cage.  They are subjected to neglect and abuse, are confined to over-crowded cages and subjected to over-breeding.  They lack proper nutrition, veterinary care (medical and dental). They do not experience the ground beneath their feet and often times live on wire which cuts into their skin and deforms their feet.  Dental neglect results in rotting jaws and other medical problems such as infections and heart issues.   Power washing of cages often results in the loss of an eye or blindness since the power washing occurs while the dogs are in their cages and cannot escape the force of the water.

The puppies purchased from pet stores or online are very often the offspring of parents that endure these awful conditions .  When they are no longer useful breeders, they are often times destroyed or die as a result of old age and/or untreated medical conditions.

They often die never having experienced a kind human touch.

When you purchase dogs from online breeders or pet stores, you are perpetuating this treatment of innocent animals .  If you love animals, consider where they are coming from and don't be part of the problem.
